In January 2019, Maxine Waters (D-CA), the Chairwoman of the U.S. House Committee on Financial Services, wrote to the nationwide credit bureaus and other trade associations asking them to provide to her with information about how their companies or members assist consumers in a U.S. government shutdown.
CDIA filed a response to Chairwoman Waters.
