We applaud the work of groups like the Clara White Mission in Jacksonville, Florida, which trains people with criminal histories to work in a variety of fields, like electricians and janitorial services. The Clara White Mission was recently featured in a piece in the Florida Times-Union. Second chances are important to re-integration and it is nice to see the Clara White Mission integrating a holistic approach, including mental health counseling, GED classes, and training in transportation, social skills, vocational training, and substance abuse counseling.
